About Us
Safran Electrical & Power are one of the world leaders in the design, development and manufacture of aircraft electrical systems. We recognise that aviation needs to innovate and change in order to protect our environment. We believe that future aircraft power systems will be hybrid-electric or full-electric, which is why we are working to develop and deliver advanced electrical solutions to help decarbonise flight. In addition to supporting the next generation of traditional aircraft, we are also working to support new VTol (Vertical Take-off and landing) products, light jets and urban mobility solutions that will revolutionise the way we fly.
The UK Safran Electrical & Power team has expertise in designing and developing electrical systems comprising generators, power conversion, distribution and control, with developing expertise in electric motors for aircraft propulsion.
We champion potential and are big proponents of early development, offering multiple programmes from internships, apprenticeships and a fully developed graduate scheme, making us the perfect place to begin your aerospace career path.
Examples of ‘projects’ are air or oil cooled propulsion motors design and verification, electric generator for the hybrid electric system embedded in gas turbine engine, and advanced variable frequency generator for next generation aircraft electrical system.
COMPLEMENTARY DESCRIPTION
o Relate the theory to the practice by visiting the motors assembly line to attend the different manufacturing steps (stator assembly, encapsulation, General Assembly mounting, Product Acceptance Testing)
