  • Electrical trade qualification
  • Previous supervisory/management experience
  • PLC control programs experience
  • Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley programming/product experience
  • Previous continuous improvement experience
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Good analytical skills - Must have the ability to interpret drawings
  • Fluent English

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As an Engineering Supervisor, the main purpose will be to plan, direct and manage the operations of the electrical function to ensure maximum efficiency from all plant equipment, by means of planned preventative maintenance, continuous improvement and modifications to equipment, while ensuring full support is provided to production 24/7.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all electricians are suitably trained, including safety and work to company and legislative safety requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the company’s health and safety policies
  • To manage the function in a way that reflects the ICA Management principles and core values while providing effective leadership
  • To safely plan, direct and manage the electrical function
  • Ensure corrective action is taken, as required, for all equipment and operational problems
  • To drive continuous improvement in the Plant
  • Ensure adequate training is provided building on the skill levels within the team to raise competency levels and ensure flexibility and multi-skilling
  • Operate effectively with other Engineering functions to ensure the overall performance of the Engineering department and the plant
  • Keep abreast of any new equipment processes that are relevant to our particular industry
