Description

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and bright individual to join our Engineering Team. Our Engineering team is responsible for keeping our resort in immaculate shape, including guestrooms, public areas as well as F&B areas. As a supervisor, you are a hands-on person with exceptional knowledge of the workings of the resort's engineering needs. You assist the Director of Engineering in planning, execution, and supervision of daily tasks as well as larger projects. You directly supervise the resort's engineering technicians as well as external contractors. EXPECTATIONS - Either HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Carpenter, and or plumbing experience required - Proficiency in English (written and spoken) - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels within the resort - Must have strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and capable of effective and efficient multi-tasking - A problem-solver who is solution-oriented with a customer-focused orientation - Ability to train, coach, motivate and discipline a team of Technicians - Ability to work independently and as a part of a team - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position with Hotel Operations - Degree in Engineering or relevant field - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Tech-savvy with Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs - Proficiency in English; Papiamento, Dutch, and Spanish are a plus - Must be flexible, able to work in shifts (AM/PM), weekends, and holidays Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications.
