Description

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and proactive individual to join our Engineering Team as an Engineering Supervisor. Our Engineering/Repair & Maintenance Team plays a vital role in maintaining the resort in immaculate condition, including guestrooms, public areas, and Food & Beverage outlets. In this hands-on supervisory role, you bring strong technical knowledge and a practical understanding of resort engineering operations. You support the Chief Engineer in planning, executing, and supervising daily maintenance activities, as well as larger projects. You are responsible for the direct supervision of the resort's engineering technicians and coordinating closely with external contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Bucuti & Tara's high standards. Expectations - Proven experience in one or more of the following trades: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and/or plumbing - Proficiency in English (written and spoken) - Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels within the resort - High attention to detail, with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities - Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive and guest-focused approach - Ability to train, coach, motivate, and, when necessary, discipline a team of technicians - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing well under pressure Qualifications - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within hotel operations - Degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Technologically proficient with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Proficiency in English; knowledge of Papiamento, Dutch, and Spanish are a plus - Must be flexible, able to work in shifts (AM/PM), weekends, and holidays Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications.
