Description
HVAC & Refrigeration Systems * Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment. * Maintain refrigeration units, chilled water systems, heat exchangers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, valves, piping, and air handling units. * Monitor temperature, pressure, and system performance and make necessary adjustments. * Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, fan coil units, DX units, VAV systems, and air distribution systems. * Replace filters, lubricate motors, inspect belts, align shafts, and perform equipment servicing as per manufacturer recommendations. Electrical & Plumbing Systems * Operate and maintain electrical distribution systems and plumbing installations. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment. * Ensure all systems function safely and efficiently with minimum downtime. * Perform routine inspections and maintenance of hot water systems and associated equipment. Preventive Maintenance * Execute planned, predictive, preventive, and routine maintenance programs. * Complete equipment rounds and maintain accurate maintenance records. * Conduct inspections of engineering equipment and facilities as per approved schedules. * Maintain logbooks detailing operational status, repairs, and unusual equipment conditions. Fire & Life Safety * Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection and sprinkler systems. * Inspect, maintain, and document work carried out on life safety equipment. * Respond promptly to fire alarms, emergencies, evacuations, and equipment failures. Safety & Compliance * Follow all hotel Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. * Demonstrate safe work practices and identify potential hazards. * Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations, safety standards, and hotel policies. * Monitor and safely handle chemical dosing and water treatment systems. Operations & Administration * Attend to guest complaints and maintenance requests promptly and professionally. * Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance activities and project work. * Maintain inventory and records related to maintenance activities. * Participate in facility inspections and support ongoing improvement initiatives. * Assist in departmental projects and other engineering assignments as directed. Emergency Response * Respond immediately to emergency situations including equipment breakdowns, fire alarms, utility failures, and guest-related maintenance concerns. * Troubleshoot faults and implement corrective actions to restore operations efficiently. * Remain available for shift duties, weekends, public holidays, and emergency call-outs as required. Qualifications * ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related trade. * Valid technical certifications/licenses as required by local regulations. Experience * Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hotel engineering, facility management, or building maintenance. * Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems preferred. Skills & Competencies * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of HVAC-R systems, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and building services. * Understanding of preventive maintenance programs. * Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. * Customer-focused attitude with attention to safety and quality. Working Conditions * Rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per operational requirements. * May be required to work overtime and respond to emergency call-outs.
