    We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join our well-established team at our headquarters in Seaham, County Durham.
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our growing engineering department. This is a critical role reporting to the Engineering Manager, offering the chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced production environment.
    The successful candidate will play a key part in managing and developing the engineering function, ensuring smooth operations, high standards of maintenance, and a culture of continuous improvement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a skilled and proactive maintenance professional who brings both technical expertise and strong leadership qualities. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised HNC (or equivalent) in a multi-discipline engineering field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a maintenance engineering role.
  • Strong fault-finding abilities and the capability to confidently read and interpret electrical and technical drawings.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide others.
  • Experience working with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) for maintenance planning and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, coach, and collaborate across departments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a calm, solutions-oriented mindset under pressure.
  • Confidence in working within a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
  • Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Excel and production/maintenance software, with the ability to produce, interpret, and act on data-driven reports.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS

We are committed to ensuring full support and training, the successful applicant must be willing to undertake:

  • In-house people management training, aligned with our company values and management expectations.
  • If not already held, accredited external training in people management, delivered by a recognised provider.

Completion of these training programmes is mandatory and forms part of your success in the role.
