POSITION: Engineering Supervisor   LOCATION:  Essex Solutions USA LLC,120 Southeast Parkway, Franklin, TN 37064   JOB DUTIES:   Responsible for Process Engineering and Die Shop employees to perform service functions within established timing, quality, and cost standards. Job duties include:   * Supervise work activities to ensure service functions or tasks meet or exceed all established quality requirements. * Determine Root Cause Analysis of major defects (Internal and External). * Support Production Manufacturing by working to achieve KPI goals. * Support the continued 5-s, clean plant, and other continual improvement activities. * Take active role in the customer return issues. * Drive improvement goals to achieve quoted OEE targets. * Support and integrate permanent changes in in place to reduce scrap. * Responsible for personnel actions, including final selection, training, performance appraisals, discipline, and safety. * Determine job priorities based on established schedules and make daily assignments. * Interpret specifications and make judgments about the acceptability of work that is in progress. * Implement departmental safety programs to ensure the safety of employees. * Perform routine troubleshooting. * Support and drive improvements in Kaizen activities. * Exercise considerable judgment in establishing job priorities for expedited orders. * Responsible for continuous improvement activities. * Provide technical support to manufacturing regarding die related issues. * Assist Engineering with new products and the development of dies to manufacture new products * Identify and develop processes and equipment from concept through manufacturing. * Prepare specifications and requirements for processes and equipment. * Identify and purchase necessary materials and equipment to support product development and raw material projects. * Prepare process work instructions and material requirements for process trials. * Collect, analyze, and report pertinent process data, information, and observations. * Supervise the Franklin Die shop and be responsible for all aspects of Die Operations including budgets, planning, new equipment recommendations and installation, project management and customer service. * Develop plans for Die Shop improvement and customer opportunities. * Develop action plans for the installation of new local Die Shop Equipment. * Responsible for inventory management of drawing dies * Responsible for inspection of dies as needed.       MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management, Engineering Management, or a related field. * 2 years of work experience in the job offered or related position; and experience with the following: * Using precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and Optical Comparator * Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance * Reading and understanding mechanical drawings * Microsoft Suite * Shopfloor System   CONTACT:  Any applicant who is interested in this position may send resume to Palmer Zavodny (palmer.zavodny@essexsolutions.com [palmer.zavodny@essexsolutions.com]).
