We invite you to join this Engineering Support Internship opportunity at Takasago, where you can be innovative. Project Overview includes: This internship is designed to help the plant reach its goals of standardizing work and becoming more efficient in our day-to-day operations.  Key Responsibilities: * Record time required by different tasks in the plant * Writing SOPs – writing clear instructions to perform specific production tasks  * Design new layout for washroom * Design a new washroom configuration emphasizing increased throughput and improved cleanliness. Improve storage and people flow in space Key Milestones & Deadlines: * Time current tasks and throughput * Identify and prioritize washing needs by type, small items, pots, tanks, etc. * Identify equipment, if needed, for new configuration  * Identify improvements and time savings * Draw new floor plan showing washing areas, storage areas, personnel flow * Time Studies of Production Processes * Time tasks performed in Liquid compounding A-26 * Time study for batches, beginning with preparation to end in A-26. Identify roadblocks, places where system does not operate smoothly * Write or Refine SOPs for compounding, including Batch Metrics and SAP interactions  Qualifications include: * Matriculated in a college degree program with a major in Engineering - focusing in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Software and Data (for our automation and shopfloor systems, and BI Tools) * Completion of Sophomore year * Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher * Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, BI and PowerPoint * Understanding of project management principles and general knowledge of engineering disciplines * Able to work autonomously on the project, analysis and research  Preferred Qualifications * Completion of junior year preferred * Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus * SAP and Project management tools  Goals and Objectives: The primary goal of the internship is to provide the students or graduates with practical experience in a particular department with actual role responsibilities and projects, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting. Throughout the internship, students will gain hands-on experience in related functional role initiatives, conduct research, and enhance their understanding of industry standards and practices. Internship Experience: This 11+ week summer internship (June 1 – mid-August) offers hands-on project work, weekly development sessions with senior leadership, and opportunities to build professional skills. Interns will conclude the program by delivering a final presentation to Takasago executive leaders and employees.
