WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Support Specialist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and improving maintenance strategies, conducting safety and compliance checks, and supporting technical documentation and plant upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Over 3 years of industrial experience in a Chemical/Process plant preferred.
  • Expertise: Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Plant Maintenance.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of project management principles.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written) and knowledge of MS Windows/Office applications.
  • Attributes: Quick learner with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute Plant Maintenance (PM) activities, including routine inspections, maintenance planning, and documentation.
  • Ensure all plant equipment operates efficiently with minimal unplanned downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and sustainability.
  • Conduct compliance checks, HAZOP/process safety reviews, and HSEQ audits; complete associated technical actions.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation such as P&IDs, SOPs, inspection checklists, and MOCs; ensure all MOCs comply with company standards.
  • Support and contribute to plant upgrade and improvement projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on engineering and technical matters.
  • Take ownership of HSEQ responsibilities on the production floor, including issuing Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) for plant maintenance and projects.
  • Perform regular HSEQ inspections and report unsafe conditions, near-misses, and incidents in line with company protocols.
  • Ensure all activities are fully compliant with internal HSEQ policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
