Description

EDUCATION:

  • Enrolled in an Engineering Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree Program or has equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Typically requires 0-1 year of related experience.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Must have strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and data base software, e-mail and meeting management software.
  • Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.
  • CAD experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be-able-to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be an effective listener, able to extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
  • Must have manual dexterity for working with small components.
  • Must have the ability to efficiently research and summarize information in an effective manner and make recommendations based upon analysis.
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment. Fosters open communication and support an environment of innovation and creative change.

Responsibilities
  • Carries out manufacturing plans for prototypes following standardized procedures.
  • Conducts R&D testing of existing and new product designs for both internal and external customers.
  • Maintains continuous communications with design staff regarding test progress and results.
  • Provides recommendations to engineering design staff for design improvements.
  • Creates, maintains, and presents test reports with summaries and analysis.
  • Maintains, calibrates, and repairs all lab equipment and equipment certifications.
  • Performs FAR (first article requirements) evaluation and provide detailed descriptions of any non-conformities.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
