    Your new role

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE AS AN ENGINEERING SURVEYOR!

Step into a pivotal role where precision meets purpose. As an Engineering Surveyor, you’ll be at the heart of civil design and construction, coordinating survey requirements, capturing accurate field data and transforming it into detailed terrain models and feature plots that guide major infrastructure projects.
From set-out surveys to project support during construction, your expertise will ensure every detail is mapped, measured and delivered to the highest standard. This role isn’t just about technical accuracy, it’s about collaboration, innovation and making a real impact across Council departments and the community. If you’re ready to combine fieldwork with leadership and technical excellence, this is your opportunity to help shape the spaces where people live, work and play.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Surveying), or Associate Diploma in Engineering (Surveying), or equivalent qualifications relevant to the duties of the position.
  • Ability to provide a range of survey services, including feature surveys, construction set-out, as-constructed surveys, and survey control.
  • Proficiency in terrain modelling and Computer Aided Drafting software.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and have the ability to organise your time effectively to achieve goals.
  • Ability to work together with others to achieve common goals both within the immediate team and teams across Council.
