• Plans, improves and executes maintenance of site equipment to improve reliability in line with Arla’s maintenance strategy.
• Drives the people agenda and focuses on talent pipeline, developing individuals to have the right competencies and behaviours within the department
• Manages the delivery of KPI targets to ensure the department and site achieves its goals
• Leads fault finding and coordinates effective resource prioritization in consultation with other functional leads
• Ensures a safe working environment in the department
• Communicates effectively to report on status of lines and equipment based on performance
• Lead, coach and guide to ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company and statutory requirements
• Defines resources required, work planning and employee scheduling

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join our Lockerbie Dairy at an exciting time of growth and investment. Joining at the very beginning of a major two-year installation and commissioning project, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our production lines.
This unique opportunity will see you involved from day one – learning the process, supporting the installation, and helping to bring new technology into operation. As the project progresses, you will recruit and develop your own engineering team, before taking on responsibility for leading and managing ongoing maintenance and performance across the lines. This is a rare chance to influence, build, and lead a team through a transformational phase in our dairy operations.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE

• Ambition & drive
• Leadership and Motivational skills with a talent for team building and upskilling.
• You will fully understand all statutory law requirements, contractor control regulations and have experience with facilities and budget management.
• Having in depth knowledge and experience with the T.P.M programme, S.A.P PM knowledge and Office 365 skills would be highly advantageous
• Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering in an industrial environment, with experience working on a effluent treatment plant (ETP) or Anaerobic Digestion plant (AD) would be highly desirable.
