Location: Worksop, S81 7AYHours: 8am – 4pm (40 hours per week average)Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Contract: Permanent , Full TimeWe are looking for an and motivated Engineering Team Manager to lead our Manufacturing Centre Engineering Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong people management skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and a proven background in engineering and maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Site Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving operational performance, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and developing a high-performing engineering team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day engineering function across the manufacturing site Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed effectively and on time Promote and maintain a strong health, safety, and environmental culture Drive continuous improvement initiatives and performance improvement plans Coordinate SAP planned maintenance activities and support asset reliability improvements Lead engineering teams through breakdowns and operational challenges Coach, mentor, and develop engineers, apprentices, and technicians Support recruitment, training, and succession planning activities Work cross-functionally with operational teams to maximise plant performance and efficiency Deliver engineering KPIs and contribute to site-wide strategic objectives What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience Previous engineering management experience within manufacturing, ideally food manufacturing Strong leadership and people management capability Experience implementing continuous improvement and progressive maintenance techniques Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments Strong understanding of health & safety and legal compliance requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Desirable Qualifications & Experience HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering IOSH/NEBOSH and Food Hygiene qualifications HACCP Level 2 Multi-skilled engineering background (Electrical & Mechanical) Experience in continuous production environments Permit-to-work management experience Proven track record delivering engineering projects and performance improvements What You’ll Bring You will be a proactive and inspiring leader who can motivate teams, encourage innovation, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
