Description
Your responsibilities will include Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new control systems and update existing ones. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Work with wiring, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic drawings. Support proper implementation of new processes &; equipment Troubleshoot manufacturing electrical and programming issues Provide leadership and development to maintenance staff to diagnose and solve equipment issues as first line of engineering support Provide technical support to production and work teams and serve as a technical resource for the department Support maintaining stability in day to day operations Analyze, evaluate and document standards according to quality system requirements such as Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments and LOTO procedures Provide a critical link between the department and other process partners such as product design, assembly, paint, maintenance, safety, quality, etc. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an engineering / maintenance technician or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Associates Degree or higher in technical/equivalent field with work experience OR Journeyman's card OR equivalent experience to a Journeyman (ex: previous engineering experience, ie) Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control diagrams. Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming, VFDs, HMIs, and other control system components. Familiarity with national and local electrical codes and regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and other departments. A commitment to ongoing education and staying current with technological advancements in the field. Strong computer skills (SAP, Google Suite) Hands-on experience with low voltage (480V and below) electrical applications Able to work overtime as needed. Programming ability in AB Suite (PLC), Fanuc Robotics, KUKA Robotics, and Mitsubishi CNC controls Strong mechanical knowledge Working knowledge of GD&;T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) Knowledge of 2D Autocad / 3D Modeling Ability to work as a team and independently Ability to work in a fast paced environment Excellent planning, project management and leadership skills Ability to support delivery of projects on time and on budget Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills Solid decision-making and judgment skills Completion of an accredited electrician or mechanical apprenticeship program, or associate's degree in electrical/controls engineering (or higher). Relevant certifications such as a journeyman or master electrician license are preferred.
