We win together as one team.    Garland Commercial Ranges is looking for an Engineering Technologist III!   This is an entry-level position which, under close direction and supervision, assists with Clamshell Grill performance testing and data collection tasks related to: product variants; test fixtures; NPI (New Product Introduction) verification and validation activities. This position is technical and hands-on in nature.    Reporting to the Team Lead, Engineering I, this position is 100% based in-office at our Mississauga, Ontario facility. This is a full-time, permanent role that is an addition to headcount.    Major Accountability: * Work safely and possess the discernment of when to ask for help/training on: equipment, process, or task * Learn to set-up and install clamshell grills / related components in the performance test chambers * Act as a contributing team member in Lab activities * Provide clear and concise: verbal & written communication * Perform work to the required level of accuracy   Key Tasks & Responsibilities: * Ability to follow test cases and SOPs for software validation and regression testing * Ability to write and create SOPs, test cases and technical documentation for machines and equipment * Operate lab equipment such as: scale and electrical measuring equipment (multi-meter, power meter) * Ability to solder, identify bad parts and repair. Performed on PCBA, surface mount and through hole components * Learn the basic function and troubleshooting methods of common   electrical, and mechanical components * Operate a variety of hand tools in the appropriate application * Learn to read and follow a basic wiring diagram * Maintain lab cleanliness, lab tools, and lab equipment   Qualifications * Specialized Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities  * Demonstrate functional understanding, in one or more of the following specialized skills: Electronics & Controls; Software Validation Testing; Data Acquisition; System level Electrical Theory; Soldering; Test fixture assembly * Demonstrate the desire for growth, experience and team participation    * Education and Experience * Associate Degree / Technical Diploma / Certificate in Electro-Mechanical/Electronics  1. 0 – 3 years of experience required, or 2 years of experience in lieu of degree.   * Working Conditions  1. Heavy computer use.   2. Typically, an office environment with frequent periods in a plant environment.    3.
