The Engineering & Technical Writing Intern position at AeroSpec offers the professional a wide variety of experience with automation and test equipment for diverse industries. This is a paid internship position open to college freshmen and sophomores will the opportunity to potentially grow into a full-time position. What you will do: Technical and Proposal Support Writing for Automated Assembly Equipment and Electrical Control Systems. Work closely with Principle Engineers and engineering teams to produce high quality Technical Proposals, Manuals and Specifications within tight deadlines Develop technical descriptions, concept features, and system explanations based on feature stories and sketches supplied by the engineers and tailored to a specific audience Standardize content across platforms and media Contributes and updates content within the proposal, manual or procedure Incorporate animation, graphs, illustrations, or photographs to increase users’ understanding of the material Edits text produced by members of the project team for spelling, grammar, and structural issues Develop an understanding of the company and processes to create material that accurately represent capabilities Provide suggestions and gives and accepts feedback positively. Interact with diverse client industries: Medical, Semiconductor, Defense and more. Requirements: Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office. Excellent technical writing and communication skills. Excellent understanding of the English Language including spelling, grammar and structure Write quality, concise responses in a compact, intensive timeframe. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Communicate and interact effectively with all employee levels. Good project management/time management capabilities. Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Keen attention to detail and organization of information Present information effectively and persuasively. Proficiency in Adobe applications including Acrobat Ability to use graphics programs to capture, size, and import screenshots and graphics into documentation seamlessly Technical Writing Samples may be requested
