Description:
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a physical science or similar technical field
- Excellent manual dexterity and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work a night shift schedule.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Work experience operating SEM tools or optical microscopes
- Work experience cleaving silicon wafers
- Knowledge of the physics involved with FIB/SEM tools, such as vacuum systems, voltage/current effects, and ion sputtering behavior
- Familiarity with key developments and materials in the semiconductor industry
- Experience in customer IP protection
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Cross Section SEM (XSEM) samples using cleaving or microcleaving techniques and image them using FEI/Thermo Fisher SEM tools to meet the dynamic needs of process engineers
- Successful technicians may continue on to learn some of the following techniques: Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM), FIB-SEM cross sectioning, and Electron Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX)
