Job Description:                       Engineering Technician (Technical Services Group)     Position Summary   Air Power, Inc. is seeking an experienced full-time Engineering Technician.  Work with Account Managers, Specialists, Project Coordinators, and Engineering to understand scope of project.  Work with Specialists and Engineering to validate BOM for accuracy and equipment concepts. This positions primary function is to pre-assemble and test projects to ensure they are ready for installation across all 3 of our business units including electrical and pneumatic wiring of equipment.  Travel to customer site to install equipment and work diligently to maintain established timeline and budget are also key responsibilities.     Key Accountabilities:   * Provide Pre-Sale Support to System Specialist including but not limited to the following: 1. Project design review and development  * Onsite project review / sales process support * Assemble, test, and install:  1. Air Power finishing systems and components 2. Air Power Assembly systems and components 3. Air Power Applied Fluid Technology systems and components * Wiring of Electrical and pneumatic panels * Participate in lessons learned meetings as required * Check in surplus components after completion of project * Report hours and expenditures for project financials * Mentor less experienced personnel * Comply with Company safety protocol, learn correct operation & safety features of all tools & accessories     Qualifications:   * Must have a good attitude with proven mechanical ability (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical backgrounds are a plus) * Strong written and verbal communication skills are required * Problem-solving skills * Attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to travel to support customer needs * Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Power point) * 3+years of experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred * Electrical experience preferred * Experience reading electrical schematics Benefits:   * Health, dental, vision and disability insurance * 401K with contribution matching program * Paid PTO & Holidays * Company provided tools/equipment
