Description Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician/CAD Designer to join our Land Development team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. As an Engineering Technician you would be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures, with a strong attention to detail, to assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects. The Engineering Technician will modify and create design plans and drawings using computer aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer. Requirements Reviews project scope and confers with project engineer concerning tasks required such as plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design requirements, and/or reports Uses computer equipment including engineering and design modeling software to prepare engineering and design documents Support and communicate with engineers, project managers and other supervisors throughout all stages of the drafting, design and construction process Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings Apply Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings Collaborate in a team environment Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents Plot and check drawings Willing to take on other duties as assigned Performs basic design tasks Required Skills: Basic engineering knowledge along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office products Proficient in AutoCAD and other discipline specific software Possess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player Working Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam Willingness to learn and grow is a must Education and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent experience Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D Design skills and knowledge 1-5 Years of industry specific Land Development experience Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Responsibilities

The Engineering Technician/CAD Designer will assist with various engineering and construction projects by modifying and creating design plans and drawings using CAD programs. They will also support engineers and project managers throughout the drafting, design, and construction process.
