Schedule: Mon-Fri 5:30am-3:30pm
Pay Rate: $24
A growing manufacturing facility in Dowagiac, MI is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with expertise in robot programming, PLC troubleshooting, machine recipe management, Ignition programming, and AGV system troubleshooting. The Engineering Technician will report directly to the Engineering Manager and play a key role in supporting production and maintaining operational efficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, sometimes without notice
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Solid understanding of basic engineering concepts
  • Proficiency in basic computer use and mathematics
  • Ability to wear a ½ mask respirator or PAPR when necessary
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safe work practices and company standards
  • Self-motivated, punctual, and dependable

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in PLC and Fanuc robot programming
  • Experience with paint robots
  • 1+ year using Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Knowledge of safe electrical practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, or maintain various physical positions as required
  • Exposure to high noise levels and hazardous materials
