Job Details:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technician to support the development, testing, and validation of secure communications systems, including Software Defined Radios and Antenna Systems. This role is essential in bridging design engineering and production, ensuring our RF and digital systems meet performance and reliability standards.
You will work closely with hardware engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production technicians to support product validation, troubleshoot hardware, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires up to 50% travel to support field testing, customer engagements, and production sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate RF and digital test equipment (spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc.)
  • Perform measurements: s-parameters, harmonics, noise figure, bandwidth, P1dB, phase noise, spectral regrowth
  • Assemble and test communication systems: antennas, PAs, modems, RF/digital cables, power supplies
  • Conduct RF cascade analysis and calibrate RF power across frequency bands
  • Troubleshoot and repair subassemblies and systems using schematics and test procedures
  • Load firmware/software configurations and manage documentation
  • Execute test procedures, record results, and generate reports using Microsoft Office tools
  • Support prototype builds, debug efforts, and design validation testing
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for timely deliveries
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Travel up to 50% as required for testing, support, and field operations

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, military technical training, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in RF, analog, or digital electronics
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment and measurement techniques
  • Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Strong manual dexterity for working with small assemblies
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime or travel as needed
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military background in Advanced Electronics Fields (AECF, AEEF, ATF, etc.) Ratings such as Electronics Technician (ET), Fire Controlman (FC), Sonar Technician (STS/STG), Missile Technician (MT), or Aviation Electronics Technician (AT)
  • Experience in the defense or aerospace industry (e.g., Northrop Grumman, L3Harris, Raytheon)
  • Familiarity with RF components: amplifiers, filters, mixers, switches, ADCs
  • Experience with configuration management and logistics coordination
