JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an immediate opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join us at our diverse team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement technical solutions applicable to problems related to product failures observed on testing procedures, always considering aspects on EHS, Quality and Productivity defined by the company metrics. Ensure all activities related are timely completed along with the support departments/functions involved.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

  • Minimum of an AA degree or equivalent from Technical School and 6 months related experience on Danfoss products
  • 1-3 years of experience in Test equipment or similar position.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of quality/problem solving tools (PPAP, Capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 4-Step, 8D, Fishbone)
  • Computer skills, (Microsoft Office, PLC)
  • Customer Service mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure are necessary traits
  • Outstanding safety record and approach to behavioral based safety using proper PPE are requirements
Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
1. Review and improve all testing equipment complies with safety standards such as guards, hoses, connectors, and energized wires.
2. Support developing and update current technical documents like procedures for Set-Up, Production tests, Codes & Software regulations, etc.;
3. Support Manufacturing in all hydraulic tests.
4. Develop and release to production tooling, Poka-Yoke and fixtures for testing equipment.
5. Parts max-min levels to support manufacturing and avoid down times for spare parts.
6. Support actively on corrective and preventive maintenance strategies.
7. Keep in test stand reliability, data Integrity as well as implement new testing technology.
8. Evaluate and issue temporary deviations for testing processes if needed
