POSITION OVERVIEW

The Engineering Technician will maintain control of processes in thermoplastic and silicone injection molding in addition to providing support to the execution of the production schedule including mold changes, setups, first piece submissions and troubleshooting in support of the manufacturing floor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mold Technician experience is required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Ability to read measuring devices, i.e. micrometer, Vernier calipers, Acu-Guage, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours while turning, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, clutching, placing and lifting up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
  • Safety is everyone’s responsibility
  • Perform mold changes and startups
  • Perform first piece inspections on new startups
  • Perform process troubleshooting and part inspections to ensure part conformity/quality
  • Perform material changes as dictated by schedule
  • Perform required mold PMs
  • Verify paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at start up and in process
  • Monitor and prepare support equipment (ie: circulators, grinders)
  • Assist in break coverage as needed
  • Regular, on-time attendance at work is an essential function of every job at Dymotek
  • Support the organization’s needs in various function
