Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Working closely with the Engineering and Maintenance teams, you will support and improve manufacturing operations by becoming a technical expert on critical production equipment across all plants. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, and be part of Preventative Maintenance in a fast paced, high impact manufacturing environment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree or Diploma certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, or related Engineering Technology field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • In-depth understanding of safety standards and code compliance
  • Experience with safe lifting techniques and operating lifting/rigging equipment (e.g., forklift certification preferred).
  • Willingness and ability to provide after-hours and weekend on-call support as part of a rotating schedule or emergency response protocol
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A vehicle is required to travel between company sites
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts/weekends based on the company business needs
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret basic schematics for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist in planning and executing capital projects, including equipment upgrades and layout changes.
  • Ensure safe practices are followed during lifting, installation, or movement of machinery and components.
  • Maintain workspace organization and ensure compliance with GMP standards.
  • Working with cross-functional team and other trades to ensure projects/work are completed on time and meet specifications.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist in overhauls and rebuilding equipment components such as gearboxes, pumps, valves, motors, and conveyors.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food quality regulations at all times.
  • Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior technicians or Co-op.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance workstations, spare part storage, and tool areas.
  • Travel to other FGF sites when required to support multi-site engineering activities
