Responsibilities

Having ramped up manufacturing activities at our brand new MK facility, we are looking for a highly motivated Engineering Technician who will be involved in continuing to ensure our manufacturing processes continue to run optimally.
You’ll be working closely with the Automation and Production teams to minimise downtime and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and performance as our capability increases.

You’ll be based on our new site in Milton Keynes working in our new Manufacturing Engineering team within our Operations function! There will be 2 shift patterns 6am - 3pm and 1pm - 10pm. You’ll alternate these shifts week by week.

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to identify and repair faulty components, keeping traceability records around work performed.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures and apply quick and effective solutions.
  • Implement preventive measures to avoid recurring problems and minimize future downtime, collaborating with automation partners where appropriate.
  • Support during factory acceptance (FAT) site acceptance tests with some travel to Europe potentially required, (SATs) and installation activities during site setup.
  • Provide training and support to operators and other staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for repairs and maintenance, identifying and ordering necessary replacements.
  • Provide input and feedback on potential improvements to existing systems, Collaborating closely with the Automation Engineering function to optimize equipment and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying and addressing potential safety hazards.
