Description Position: Engineer Technician I Location: Grand Junction, CO (fully onsite) Reports to: Engineering Dept. Job Summary: The Engineering Technician I will set up new manufacturing operations and create/update documentation for manufacturing processes and testing, train on and run a variety of machines including but not limited to manual mills, lathes, grinders, bandsaws, CNC mills, and CNC lathes, and train on programming CNC machines. The Engineering Technician I will be able to read and understand part drawings with at minimum, a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Key Responsibilities: Operate manufacturing processes with limited oversight including CNC programing and machine setup Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and requirements Provide information for documentation of new manufacturing processes Assist in Engineering Sustainment activities to support ongoing Manufacturing operations – to include but not limited to: restoring manufacturing processes to operation following failures, participating in process improvement efforts, providing training to others, updating process documentation Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) activities as necessary and as directed Attend and contribute to discourse during team meetings and leverage senior team members for knowledge and direction Conceptualize, design and manufacture part holding fixtures for low and high-volume manufacturing processes Coordinate the repair, rebuild and improvement of tooling, fixturing and machinery Support new product development and continuous improvement projects by collaborating with engineering and operations teams to ensure project deadlines are achieved Maintain productivity and professionalism when working independently and/or on a team Uphold Valor standards and specifications Other duties as assigned Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package, including salary, performance-based incentives, health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities. Responsibilities
The Engineering Technician I will operate and set up manufacturing machinery, including CNC equipment, while creating and updating process documentation. They will also participate in new product introduction activities and design fixtures to support manufacturing operations.
