Description
SAIC is seeking an Engineer Technician for shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This program will be part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation afloat mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands. Job Duties: Assist with the planning, development, and execution of stage 4 and 5 test procedures development and test execution for shipboard C5ISR systems. Utilizes specialized test equipment to complete C5ISR Stage 4 and Stage 5 testing. Works with the multidisciplinary technical team supporting engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of C5ISR systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts using Autocad and PDF formats to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics). Required Education and Experience: AA Degree in related discipline and three (3) years or more relevant experience with one or more shipboard C5ISR systems: radio communication racks, Interior Communications(Alarm/Saferty/Warning), shipboard CGOne/Unclass/SIPRNET LANs, Surface Search Radar, Navigation Distribution system, Integrated Bridge System Or, High School and five (5) years related experience with relevant certification. Required Security Clearance and Certifications: Must have an active Secret clearance on first day of employment. Familiar with utilizing C4ISR/C5ISR Interface Control Documents, Block diagrams, and Functional Interface Drawings. Desired Skills: Experience with MIL-STD-2106 Development of Shipboard Industrial Test procedures Prior experience utilizing Autocad Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IA Level II - Security+ certification, or CSSIP, Network+, A+ or equivalent. Desired/Key C3ISR, C4ISR, C5ISR, and/or C6ISR Shipboard Systems: Integrated Bridge System Gyrocompass (e.g., WSN-7) Surface Search Radars (e.g., AN/SPY-6, SPS-series) UHF, HF, VHF Marine Radios Shipboard Communication Cabinets Shipboard Alarms and Interior Communications (Safety, Warning Systems) Fathometer and Depth Sounding Systems Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Sonar Mission System (SMS) Extremely High Frequency (EHF) Communications NIPRNET, SIPRNET, SI LAN
