Description
SCMI1 has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill one vacancy for Gage Calibration Training Support role with the United States Navy. The employee will function in accordance with the equivalent responsibilities of an Engineering Technician IV to provide critical gage calibration training for NAVSEA and NAVAIR Programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide on-site training to shipboard personnel in Pressure, Temperature, and Torque Calibration to include proper operation, care, and maintenance of Shipboard Gage Calibration Program test equipment Update course material as calibration equipment and techniques change Maintain knowledge and process databases for Shipboard Gage Calibration Program to include calibration standards, methods and techniques utilized in the calibration of Navy METCAL Program TMS, and calibration laboratory requirements including procedures, equipment, facility requirements, environmental conditions, organization, and documentation management Coordinate and conduct on site FCA certification inspections for both Fleet and Shore activities Maintain certification schedules for each FCA visit Provide certification letters to customers as needed Track and manage Shipboard Gage Calibration Program Standards Loan Pools Track loan pool equipment periodicities and operational conditions Provide classroom training to shipboard personnel for Shipboard Gage Calibration Program test equipment Security Clearance Requirements: Must possess and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance Standard Qualifications: Associate degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field 3 to 5 years of Navy METCAL experience NAVSEA In-Service Quality Program for METCAL Training certification Ability to conduct METCAL training with shipboard and shore-based personnel MS Office suite proficiency required Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual requirements Ability to use clear and concise oral and written communication **Please note that your resume and candidacy is subject to customer approval and acceptance and clearing of the required background check.
