POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an Engineering Technician at Kite Magnetics, you will be critical in supporting the development, production, and testing of our advanced Aeroperm® materials and stator core technology. Working alongside engineers and operators, you will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art instruments, prototype production equipment, and advanced manufacturing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to expand their technical skills in a supportive and innovative environment.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (TAFE qualification).
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a technical role (e.g., production, manufacturing, or testing) is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience operating or maintaining technical equipment is desirable.
Responsibilities
  1. Instrument and Equipment Operation:
  • Learn to operate and maintain precision instruments and equipment for testing and production.
  • Conduct accurate measurements, collect data, and ensure documentation is detailed and precise.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with equipment to minimise downtime.
  1. Prototype Production and Process Support:
  • Perform repetitive sample production tasks, adhering to strict quality standards.
  • Operate prototype production equipment to support product development and testing.
  • Support the scaling of production processes by providing feedback and assisting with process optimisation.
  1. Collaboration and Learning:
  • Work closely with engineers to implement technical solutions and support ongoing projects.
  • Actively participate in on-the-job training to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Assist in the assembly, modification, and maintenance of production and testing equipment.
  1. Documentation and Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain detailed records of production tasks, testing results, and equipment performance.
  • Assist with documentation of procedures, manuals, and protocols to ensure consistency in operations.
  • Perform basic quality assurance checks to verify compliance with project requirements.
  1. Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety protocols and ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment by following established safety procedures.
