Maybell Quantum is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to assist our engineering team with both prototype building and prototype machining. Our ideal team member can excel in a fast-paced hardware-based startup environment. Responsibilities Assist with engineering prototype builds and testing Collect and stage parts Assist with resource planning and requirements development Compile detailed notes on builds, including BOM discrepancies, order of operations, and assembly difficulties Assist manufacturing with draft work instruction Assist with CNC machining and machine shop operations Read and understand component part and assembly drawings Comfortable with working within a CAD system for basic model and design manipulation CAM programming for complex parts and setups using Fusion 360 or equivalent Order and spec tools and materials for upcoming jobs Design and develop and fixturing and jigs to assist in machine setups Setup and run components (3-Axis CNC and manual lathe) Complete preventative maintenance on equipment Basic Qualifications 4+ years of experience as an engineering or manufacturing technician working with complex mechanical hardware Minimum 2 years experience with CNC machining and CAM programming for 3-Axis CNC machines High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Skills And Experience Experience with Fusion 360 CAM programming Working knowledge of the ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing standard Strong hands-on experience building prototypes, test apparatus, and fixtures Additional machine shop and fabrication skills (welding, brazing, etc.) Associates degree or other relevant technical certifications What We Offer Competitive Compensation: Base Salary: $30/hr - $45/hr depending on experience and qualifications, eligible for overtime pay, with additional compensation in equity and bonus Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible PTO policy, and more Growth Trajectory: Significant opportunities for professional development and career advancement in a rapidly scaling organization Impact: Direct influence on the success of a company developing revolutionary technology Exceptional Team: Collaboration with world-class scientists, engineers, and business leaders who are defining a new industry Maybell Quantum is solving incredibly challenging problems at the cutting edge of physics and engineering.
