McMillan Electric Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our team in Woodville, WI. This role is responsible for building and testing sample motors, performing application testing, and providing detailed analytical evaluations. The Engineering Technician will gather technical data, procure motor components, operate a wide range of test and measurement equipment, generate professional reports, and contribute to motor performance analysis and troubleshooting.

• Process and complete sample motor requests with precision, documenting each step from layout and material procurement to component fabrication, assembly, testing, reporting, shipping, and recordkeeping.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical testing using tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, hi-pot transformers, sound meters, oscilloscopes, stroboscopes, Magtrol dynamometers, Fluke data collectors, chart recorders, airflow chambers, microscopes, and balancing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, and assist in the repair or enhancement of computerized testing systems (e.g., dynamometer, spectrum analyzer).
• Prepare and present detailed technical reports including computerized speed/torque curves, noise analysis, and airflow studies using Microsoft Office programs.
