As an Engineering Technician (Mold Repair), you will have the opportunity to maintain and enhance production injection molds and equipment, and process injection molded parts to ensure a good part is repeatedly produced. You will work in a collaborative team environment supporting each other and striving to achieve cost and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

SO, WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS AN ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (MOLD REPAIR)?

  • Ensure safety practices are implemented, including the use of protective equipment as required.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and repair, development of injection Mold manufacturing systems, including but not limited to:
  • Trouble shooting and repairing complex injection molds
  • Develop injection molding processing parameters to ensure consistent, good product
  • Work with other team members to troubleshoot issues and determine a course of action to meet quality and production volume goals
  • Work with the Engineering team on mold design, spare parts list and troubleshooting
  • Communicate mold status and timing expectations

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:

  • Previous experience in injection mold repair and processing
  • Machining skills, manual mill, lath, grinding, CNC skills a plus, required to repair / make parts for injection molds
  • Ability to understand priorities and stay on task
  • Able to use measuring tools.
  • Have mechanical skills and ability.
  • Able to read blueprints and use CAD data to make / repair parts
  • Able to work in teams on continuous improvement projects.
  • Good Communication skills
