Description

At NEOEx Systems, we are working on an Energy and Power System and a Liquid Hydrogen Refueling System, which will revolutionize drone transportation by providing energy and power for longer duration and range operations. We work closely with UAV manufacturers to integrate our energy and power system into their vehicles to increase flight duration.
NEOEx Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Engineering Technician. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment in support of facility operations, product development, and test operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background and a passion for mechanical work in the growing industries of air mobility and energy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be self-motivated and possess strong organizational skills
  • Ability to speak and write proficiently in the English language
  • Experience using Microsoft applications
  • Ability to use hand power tools
  • Basic understanding of environmental test chambers, mass spectrometer leak detectors high-pressure gas systems, pumps, and vacuum systems
  • Experience using video teleconferencing applications (i.e. Zoom or Teams) 
  • Ability to hear audible alarms
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to use own judgment and decisions to allow continuity of workflow.
  • Must be able to organize time and assignments to properly prioritize efforts for maximum effectiveness.
  • Ability to lift 20-40 pounds regularly

EDUCATION:

  • Completion of a 4-year State approved apprenticeship program and/or equivalent vocational school training with sufficient combined work experience and skills.
  • Journeyman’s certificate preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Journeyman Level Mechanic (maintenance mechanic, machine repair technician)
  • Experience in manufacturing and assembly is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and portable cranes. Provide rigging for lifting equipment and material, including lifting straps, chain hoists, and other lifting devices.
  • Specify set up, and operating machine tools such as a drill press, chop saw, band saw, pipe threaders, lathes, mills, and grinders. May operate small power tools including drills, grinders, etc.
  • Read and interpret production drawings and work instructions (written and verbal) to assemble components into finished products.
  • Lay out and building tubing systems.
  • Assist in the installation, integration, and operation of ground support equipment and products.
  • Fabricate install, operate, and maintain mechanical control test panels, and special test equipment.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate leak detection systems.
  • Perform general maintenance on mechanical vacuum pumping equipment, heat exchangers, and cryogenic systems.
  • Fabricate, install, and operate cryogenic systems including liquid hydrogen and liquid nitrogen.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are followed at all times.
  • Prepare products for shipment.
  • Perform maintenance of equipment, workspaces, and operations areas.
