Description
Engineering Technician Responsibilities: Provide technical and design support Assemble and construct system assemblies. Conduct tests and debug electronic or electrical systems. Provide and/or expedite project documentation. Assist with organization, checking documentation for new equipment. Assist in production and/or manuals for new equipment. Requisition of parts and/or materials for projects. Prepare drawings and/or sketches, BOM (Bill of Material) list. Review and correct documentation for projects. Maintains and upgrades testing equipment. Repairs and troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and/or mechanical equipment. Technical support for mill and field equipment. Programing/debugging of the PLC and HMI systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens). Programing/debugging of AC/DC drives. Perform specific work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies. Job Requirements: 2-year technical degree and/or experience in the related field. Good verbal and written communication skills. High level of technical ability. Ability to solve complex problems and to relate to technical knowledge to specific applications. Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley and Siemens). Domestic and some international travel. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to stand in uncomfortable positions for some periods of time. Must be able to work in varied weather conditions Must be comfortable getting dirty, and/or working in contaminated areas. Must be comfortable working at heights/manlifts. Valid driver license Willing to travel as needed (less than 20%)
