Description
Support New Product introduction programs at RPO by planning and assembling prototype units ensuring products meet engineering specifications. Assemble Engineering Prototype units and sub-assemblies for design Engineering team. Fabricate wire harnesses (cutting, Labeling, Crimping, pull test). Metal modifications (drilling, cutting) Perform design for manufacturing reviews while building units, feedback issues to engineering Develop assembly work instruction for NPI productions using CAD Modeling system and Word. Modify components and assemblies to latest Revisions Provide feedback to design engineering team on required changes (form, fix, drawings, Bill of materials) Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing operations, mfg. engineering, or engineering Associate degree or 2 years of experience in a related field Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (60-mile radius) will be considered. (If applicable) Bachelor's degree preferred. 3 years related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications Experience with Visio drafting. Prior experience with the installation and maintenance of Windows-based computer software Ability to write technical test procedures. Required working knowledge and experience with computers. Ability to distinguish colored wiring. Ability to stand and/or bend frequently. Ability to read and interpret schematics. Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment. Operate hand tools to construct custom test equipment. Problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills - oral and written. Strong work ethic Able to work unsupervised. Self-starter
