Description
SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform inspections, upgrades, repair and maintenance of missile launchers, bomb racks, and other aircraft ordnance equipment used on US Navy aircraft at its Indianapolis, IN facility. The Engineering Technician will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Follow locally generated procedures, engineering drawing requirements, and US Navy maintenance instructions to: Follow locally generated procedures, engineering drawing requirements, and US Navy maintenance instructions to: Disassemble equipment Evaluate and clean sub-components Test equipment and/or sub-components Assemble equipment Follow routers and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to adapt and overcome when appropriate Work week is: Monday-Friday, 40 hour week, 8 hours per day, 7am to 3:30pm Required Education: High School diploma and two (2) years’ experience Required Clearance: There is no clearance required; US Citizenship required. Required Skills: Previous experience with mechanical assembly work Basic computer skills Desired Skills: Six years of relevant working experience Experience with measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers Fork truck experience Sand blasting experience Inventory management
