Description
WHAT YOU GET TO DO: * Support the build, integration, debugging, and testing of robotic subsystems, production hardware, and test fixtures * Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to bring prototypes to life, maintain hardware, and support field deployments * Assist with assembly of actuators, structure, and fluid systems * Perform harness builds, rework, and routing for development and production systems * Troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies and support root-cause investigations * Assist with hardware-in-the-loop test systems setup and maintenance * Support engineers during prototype bring-up including mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and basic plumbing * Maintain a clean, organized lab space and manage tools and spare inventory * Occasionally support field deployments and hardware upgrades at customer sites * Collaborate with Production Coordinator to meet build timelines and production goals WHAT YOU WILL NEED: * 2+ years of hands-on technician or manufacturing experience * Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and light fabrication * Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring schematics, and harness diagrams * Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies including PCBAs, motors, actuators, and sensors * Comfortable in a fast-paced R&D environment with evolving requirements * Attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting mindset * Comfort switching between mechanical assembly, electrical troubleshooting, and basic plumbing — you may help an engineer debug a PCB one day, then route a harness or integrate a subsystem the next BONUS IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH: * Industrial crimping tools, D-sub and circular connectors * Low-voltage electrical systems and safe troubleshooting practicesTest setups involving pumps, valves, or pneumatics * Basic Linux command line or Python scripting * Supporting prototype bring-up or field deployments OTHER THINGS TO KNOW: We’re a fast-paced, hardware-heavy team that thrives on solving tough mechanical and electrical challenges in the real world. Whether it’s a testbed on the bench or a robot being deployed on a fishing vessel, we believe in building things that work — and fixing them fast when they don’t.
Responsibilities
