Location: Sunnyvale, CA Pay: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour Schedule: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) JOB OVERVIEW: We are hiring an Engineering Technician to support the design, build, testing, and maintenance of test rigs and vehicle platforms. This role involves hands-on technical work, including prototyping, wiring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and automotive systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshoot vehicle systems, sensors, and computer components Perform root cause analysis and system calibration Assemble prototypes, wiring, and cable assemblies Interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation Support testing and validation of hardware systems Manage inventory of lab components and supplies Handle procurement and maintain supplier relationships Maintain documentation for assembly and procedures Work collaboratively to minimize downtime and ensure safety REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of technical experience (mechanical, electrical, automotive, robotics, or similar) Experience assembling prototypes, wiring, and cable assemblies Ability to read electrical schematics and datasheets Experience working in a lab, shop, or build environment Strong soldering and hands-on technical skills Familiarity with shop equipment and tools Strong organizational and communication skills Experience with 3D printers and diagnostic tools preferred Familiarity with Python, Linux, or ROS is a plus Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) is a plus Exposure to AV systems (LiDAR, radar, cameras) is a plus FULL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 40 hours per week Potential for weekend work and overtime based on project needs
