SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE: In order to meet the requirements of this position, a qualified candidate must have a combination of mechanical, and electrical disciplines as well as, Full time, hands-on experience in the accomplishment of Fleet Technical Assistance, Assessment and Logistical Support of U.S. Navy ships’ Air and Surface Search Radars & Electronic Navigation Systems. Full time, hands-on experience in interpreting shipboard technical documents to assess, repair and document equipment deficiencies, and configure equipment in alternate structures to meet mission requirements. For establishing the required experience below, Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) is defined as experience. Requirements Qualified candidates must have a combination of mechanical, electrical, and electronic disciplines as well as, for a minimum of three (3) of the last seven (7) years, have: Full time, hands-on experience in the accomplishment of Fleet Technical Assistance, Assessments, and Logistical Support of U.S. Navy ships' Air/Surface Search Radar & Electronic Navigation Systems. Full time, hands-on experience in interpreting shipboard technical documents to assess, repair, and document equipment deficiencies and configure equipment in alternate structures to meet mission requirements. Physical Job Requirements WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Tasks performed involves approximately 30% work in an office environment and 70% in a shipboard environment which may include working aloft, or in confined or secure spaces with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Exposure to high humidity and temperatures is expected. Proposed personnel are required to be able to lift up to 50 lbs., as well as capable of stooping, climbing stairs, and prolonged standing for up to 6 hours daily Education/Certification Requirements Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. DoD industrial Security Clearance of at least SECRET for all personnel assigned to perform work on board U.S. Navy ships Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
