As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role supporting Xona’s R&D and AI&T teams. You’ll work hands-on with engineers to assemble, test, rework, and document the electrical, RF, and mechanical elements of our PNT payloads and spacecraft. Your work will directly contribute to bringing next-generation navigation technology to space. What You’ll Do Support assembly, integration, and rework of electrical, RF, and mechanical spacecraft and payload hardware Perform payload and spacecraft integration tasks in lab and cleanroom environments Execute testing of communications, telemetry & command, thermal, and power subsystems per approved procedures Set up, adjust, and calibrate standard electrical and RF test equipment Interpret PCBA schematics, technical drawings, test plans, and work instructions Analyze and interpret electrical and RF test data; communicate results and issues to engineering teams Develop, maintain, and follow work instructions, connector mate logs, and test logs Own processes and documentation for PCBA and harness manufacturing, inspection, rework, staking, and conformal coating Support hardware troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Travel as needed to support launch campaigns and off-site environmental testing Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience as an engineering technician or in a related hands-on technical role Hands-on experience with soldering, wiring, cable fabrication, and harness assembly Ability to read and interpret PCBA schematics, technical drawings, test plans, and procedures Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers Familiarity with Windows-based PC operating systems Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing in English Willingness to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel as required Physically able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, perform bending and grasping motions, and lift up to 40 lbs unassisted Desired Qualifications Experience handling and integrating spaceflight hardware Exposure to spacecraft environmental testing (vibration, thermal vacuum, thermal cycling) Experience working in cleanroom environments Familiarity with aerospace documentation standards and configuration control For U.S. Roles: To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e. Green Card holder), or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
