Queensland Tissue Products Pty Ltd, located at 45-57 Antimony Street Carole Park, QLD 4300 Australia, is a proudly Australian owned and operated company, specialising in the manufacture of high quality recycled paper products including toilet tissue, facial tissue, serviettes, kitchen rolls and hand towels.
Located in Brisbane, our state-of-the-art facility supports national distribution and employs over 200 staff across Australia. We are proud to be the only full-service recycled tissue plant in the country with in-house de-inking capabilities. Our commitment to sustainability drives everything we do. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Technologist to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to innovative and impactful projects within the tissue manufacturing industry.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least an AQF Associate degree in Engineering Technology or an equivalent qualification in a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Possess extensive experience in the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Strong in problem-solving, attention to detail, and safety/efficiency improvements.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Operating production equipment to ensure continuous and efficient tissue manufacturing processes.
  • Analyzing causes of equipment downtime and implementing solutions.
  • Performing regular maintenance on production equipment.
  • Monitoring and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality control standards.
  • Participating in the installation of the Keyence Lumitrax vision camera system.
  • Evaluating defect inspection results from the Keyence Lumitrax system.
  • Coordinating with R&D to optimize the Keyence Lumitrax system.
  • Optimizing production methods for product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
