In addition, the employer requires the candidate to have the following:
(1) Demonstrated ability developing bioprocessing applications for novel bioprocessing technologies gained through three (3) years of work experience;
(2) Demonstrated knowledge of the product development process (PDP) gained through three (3) years of work experience;
(3) Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations summarizing technical results and thought leadership gained through two (2) years of work experience;
(4) Demonstrated ability in communicating effectively with peers, customers, vendors, and managers gained through two (2) years of work experience;
(5) Demonstrated knowledge of bioprocessing techniques including liquid chromatography, filtration, affinity selection, and buffer exchange gained through two (2) years of work
experience; and
(6) Demonstrated knowledge of analytical methods including ELISA, spectrophotometry, and particle size analysis gained through two (2) years of work experience.
All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
(1) Explore, characterize, and assess the performance of existing and new technologies downstream bioprocessing applications and integrated manufacturing methods;
(2) Research literature, attend conferences, collaborate with internal SMEs, and connect directly with customers through specific collaborations to keep current with the bioprocessing end
user’s process design targets, performance expectations, technical advancements, and general bioprocessing needs;
(3) Design and execute thoughtful and impactful experiments to drive product and process development efforts;
(4) Provide inputs into various development stages and documents for systems such as new product development specifications (NPDS), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA);
(5) Deliver presentations summarizing technical results and thought leadership both internally and externally;
(6) Develop downstream processing applications for monoclonal antibodies and adeno-associated virus;
(7) Carry out laboratory experiments and techniques such as affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, tangential flow filtration, depth filtration, clarification, and viral
inactivation; and
(8) Design experiments, manage SOP and report writing.
