CAMPUS/DEPARTMENT: Online (Texas Residents Only)/Humanities & Fine Arts GERNERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Teach general courses in English. Maintain familiarity with and adhere to college policies and procedures. Provide instruction and an effective learning environment to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified in the syllabi of the assigned course. Knowledge, Skills, & Ability Commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning Ability to use effective strategies to engage students in their learning Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills Commitment to multi-cultural and multi-generational diversity Strong communication and computer skills Commitment to quality service to students Experience in or exposure to the community college environment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree with 18 hours of graduate coursework in subject to be taught Ability to utilize different methods in delivering course material Competency in MS Office, the Internet, Canvas, and Blackboard; experience with Canvas preferred Review of applicants will begin immediately and will continue until the position has been filled.
