Responsibilities

Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in English and Math, tailored to each student's individual needs and learning styles
Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate effective teaching strategies and relevant curriculum standards
Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
Utilize multilingual skills such as Mandarin, French, Spanish, or Japanese to assist students from diverse linguistic backgrounds
Create a positive, encouraging learning environment that motivates students and builds their confidence in language and math skills
Collaborate with parents, teachers, or guardians to communicate student progress and identify areas for additional support
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student achievements, and areas for future focus

Requirements

Proven experience working with children or young learners in educational settings or tutoring roles
Strong writing skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin, French, Spanish, or Japanese is highly desirable
Classroom experience or formal teaching background is preferred but not required
Passion for education and a genuine desire to help students succeed academically
Excellent communication skills and patience to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs
Ability to work flexible hours, including after-school or weekend sessions if needed
