JOB OVERVIEW

Trident Alternative Provision is an independent special school dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for young people aged 11 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as social and communication difficulties associated with Autism Spectrum Conditions and ADHD. Our team is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in tailoring our approach to meet the individual needs of each student, empowering them to reach their full potential.

We are looking for inspirational Key Stage 3/4 teachers with a English, Maths, Science and an understanding of qualifications at KS3/4. We are looking for teachers with an understanding and experience in working with children with SEN. We pride ourselves on being Kind, Safe, Hardworking and Respectful, but also supportive of each other, the community and our families.

SKILLS

  • Strong background in SEN education
  • Proficient in teaching physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles among children.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques to effectively address various behavioural issues within the classroom.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those requiring special education support or tutoring services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A nurturing attitude combined with patience and empathy towards children’s individual needs.
  • Ability to create an organised and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
