EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Major/minor in Fine Arts with an emphasis on Art
  • Experience teaching visual art at the Secondary level
  • Major/minor in English
  • Experience teaching English First Peoples at the secondary level
  • Specific training in First Nations/Indigenous Education – e.g.: Major or Minor in Indigenous Studies/First Nations Studies
  • Experience and knowledge of Sto:lo culture, teachings and protocols required
  • Experience working with Indigenous learners and in Indigenous communities
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification
  • Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports
