Description

A global Industrial machinery manufacturer company is currently searching for a full-time Japanese/English Bilingual Sales Representative to join their new office in the Kitchener, ON area. The ideal candidate preferably to have 1-2 years’ sales or account management experience and able to speak conversational Japanese. (JLPT N2 or above) This is a full-time and direct hire position with a comprehensive benefits package. Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Japanese/English Bilingual Sales Representative Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify new business development opportunities, and establish relationships with potential customers within assigned sales territory.
  • Interface with customers regarding product issues, questions, etc.
  • Delivery the products if required
  • Collaboration with other department to develop sales goals, process improvements, market research and analysis, etc.
  • Product proposal preparation; secure product orders and follow up on tracking and delivery
  • Create price quotations and negotiate price / costs with customers
  • Up to 25% business travel to customer locations as needed
  • Assisting inventory management in warehouse
  • Other duties as assigned

Japanese/English Bilingual Sales Representative Requirements Include:

  • Prefers to have 1-2 years’ sales/account management experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Conversational-level Japanese language ability (JLPT N2 equivalent) required
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Forklift license or forklift experience is a big plus
  • Associate’s degree in a business-related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
  • Customer support in manufacturing environment is a big plus
  • Demonstrated business development and sales prospect conversion abilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and good organizational skills
  • Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 35 pounds, lift in excess of 35pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
