JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Language Instructor to join our team at Lexora Institute, a leading tutoring centre in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the needs of students from diverse academic backgrounds and age groups, helping them achieve their academic goals and enhance their language proficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of various school curricula and examination systems in Dubai is essential, with specific expertise in IB, IGCSE, and American and British curricula.
  • KHDA Compliance: A valid KHDA Educator Permit is a mandatory requirement for this position. Candidates without a valid permit must be eligible and willing to obtain one.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience teaching in a multicultural environment.
  • Previous experience in a tutoring center.
  • Experience teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL/ESL).
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: AED60.00 - AED120.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week

Responsibilities
  • Instructional Excellence: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students of all ages and learning capabilities, including primary, secondary, and young adult learners.
  • Curriculum & Exam Preparation: Provide specialised support for school-going students, focusing on their school curriculum and assisting with exam preparation for various international and local examination boards, including IB, IGCSE, and the American and British curricula. This includes preparation for specific exams such as KS2 SATs, GCSEs, A-Levels, IB DP, IELTS, TOEFL, and SAT (Reading & Writing).
  • Personalized Learning: Adapt teaching methods to cater to students with diverse learning capabilities and ages.
  • Student Assessment: Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
