ABOUT UIS

Urban International School (UIS) is a private high school in Toronto, accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Over the last decade, we had offered specialized academic courses that are designed for students who wish to pursue higher education in Canada and around the world.

JOB SUMMARY

Urban International School is looking for an English teacher who has a good understanding of Ontario high school curriculum and is able to assess students based on the overall and specific curriculum expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience teaching Ontario English curriculum
• holds Bachelor’s degree
• experience working with international students
• good communication skills

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

Teaching/working with students teaching/ working with students: 1 year (preferred)

• Able to make a lesson plan in accordance with the ministry expectations
• Able to make assessments in accordance with growing success
• Able to manage a classroom
• Able to deliver lessons
• Able to assess students and provide constructive feedback accordingly
• Able to record keep student grades and file report cards twice a term
• Excellent communication skills to work with students
• Able to use LMS
• Able to use basic Microsoft Office including Docs, Powerpoint, and Excel
