On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dynamic Senior Sales & Marketing Executive. This organization acts as the vital link for airline partners at diverse points of sale worldwide, ensuring their commercial success in global markets. Ideal candidate must be willing to travel frequently on business and must have previous experience working in Aviation, such as Travel Agent. Responsibilities Pro-actively promote and sell airways routes, fares, and services by telephone, email, and other communication channels Maintain an effective and efficient records system of all documentation and customer records To negotiate, manage and follow up incentive agreements with corporate/leisure clients and review/assess performance If needed, assist agencies with booking and product enquiries, issues and complaints ensuring optimal customer service Request ticketing plates for new agents as part of the business development of the job Manage group requests and group bookings by handling all inquiries and respond with quotations. Actively solicit group business to increase this revenue stream both from ad-hoc group requests and group series. Closely monitor area sales performance and forward trend data and recommend action where necessary to maximise revenue. Develop sales and marketing plans in close collaboration with Marketing and Sales departments Liaise with travel agencies, tour operators and special interest organisations to retain and reinforce ongoing business Develop marketing relationships with top tour operators and key travel/tourism/airline platforms Identify, evaluate and capitalise on new business opportunities Prepare and circulate ad hoc commercial and sales advisory notices Actively visit/contact clients assigned on the required call frequency basis to build and maintain strong commercial relationships and maintain necessary records in salesforce.com. Edit sales presentations to suit separate countries To identify, evaluate and capitalise on new business opportunities within portfolio and market segment. Act as an ambassador for the company and attend industry functions, trade events and conferences on a regular basis. Send ad-hoc reports with the frequency agreed with the airline Maintain a high level of product and destination knowledge The applicants must be willing to travel frequently on business. Have travel agency or airline experience preferably in a sales role. Have an excellent level of spoken and written English. Any additional languages will be considered an asset. Be determined and target-driven. Be confident, able to work independently using their own initiative and highly organised. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Possess good PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Proficiency in Amadeus or any other airline system is essential. Location: The ideal candidate must be currently based in Malta. Position is based in Mosta at our head office - working hours Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30. The basic gross salary is €22,000 per annum, which will be revised to €23,000 after 1 year. Performance Bonus of €1,000 per annum eligible after probation period.
